LUCKNOW: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and founder of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav has been shifted to the ICU of the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram following health issues. The 82-year-old was initially admitted to the ward, but later as his oxygen level dropped he was admitted to the ICU.
Though he was under treatment for some time, his health condition worsened on Sunday. Latest reports said his health condition has improved. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Mulayam's son and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav to inquire about his health. The Prime Minister informed Akhilesh that he would provide whatever help he could. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also spoke to Akhilesh. He asked the hospital authorities to provide the best treatment to Mulayam. Various leaders wished Mulayam's speedy recovery.
