Air horns, laser lights, disconnected speed governor; MVD bans travel on few tourist buses

KOTTAYAM: In the wake of the Vadakkancherry accident, the Motor Vehicle Department has banned the travel of five tourist buses that reached Chingavanam for excursion. The buses had air horns and laser lights attached to them. It was also found that speed governor has been disconnected. The bus had arrived for an excursion from a private school in Chingavanam.

Even during the inspection at Kottarakkara in Kollam, the MVD has stopped the tour on a tourist bus. A bus without a speedometer was brought for the excursion of a private polytechnic college. The test was conducted on a bus named London. Banned laser light and loudspeaker system were found on the bus.
