Stray dog menace continues; 25 people attacked in capital today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 25 people were bitten by stray dog in Vilavoorkal, Thiruvananthapuram. A ten-year-old child was also injured in the stray dog attack in Vilavoorkal. Such attacks are regularly reported in the area. The natives of Ezhakoodu, Perikavu Pazhaveedu, Nallamkallu were attacked by stray dog. Most them were bitten in the road near their homes. The victims include women who were on the way to shops, taxi driver, people returning home after work etc. It is reported that they were all bitten by same dog. Those who were injured in the attack sought treatment at Primary health centre. Then they were taken to the general hospital and were given anti-rabies vaccine. Officials informed that the injured persons and the dog are under strict observation.
