THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A teacher has come to the fore with a complaint against Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappillil. The complaint lodged by the teacher of a private school said the MLA beat her after a verbal dispute broke out between the two while they were travelling in the same car. She said the incident happened when she was travelling with the MLA in the car to Kovalam. She said the MLA was her personal friend. Kovalam circle inspector is investigating the complaint. However, police said the teacher has so far not given a detailed statement. Police said they will proceed with the investigation as soon as the detailed statement of the complainant is obtained.

However, the MLA has rejected her complaint. His response was that he had not beaten her and is not the type of person beating anyone. However, he said that had gone to Kovalam but was not ready to respond to the question on whether he knows her. ‘I have not committed any such crime. Let the police investigate. There is no need to respond when the probe is on. I’ve not beaten anyone and am not that type. I have not seen the complaint given to the police. Police had not questioned me,’ the MLA told a private channel.
