One dead, five injured as speeding KSRTC bus collides with lorry

KOZHIKODE: A person died after a speeding KSRTC bus collided with a lorry. The accident took place at Arikkad near Kozhikode. Shafeeq, a native of Palakkad, has been identified as the deceased. The incident happened around five in the morning. Also, five people, including the bus driver, were injured in the accident.

The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College and a private hospital. The KSRTC bus hit the lorry while it was unloading a load. Shafeeq fell on the road due to the impact of the hit. The initial assumption is that the overspeeding of the bus was the cause of the accident.
