Arunachal helicopter crash; Four soldiers including Malayali killed

GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, four soldiers died when an army helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh. A Malayali soldier was among those who were killed in the accident. The deceased Malayali soldier has been identified as Kasargod Cheruvathoor native KV Aswin (24). Ashwin's father was informed by a senior army official that his son had passed away on duty on Friday. Ashwin had been serving in the army for four years as an engineer in the electronic and mechanical department.

Information about the other deceased is not available. The search is on for one missing person. The military helicopter crashed near Migging village in Upper Siang district at 10.45 yesterday morning. It is believed that bad weather may have caused the accident. The rescue operation was tough as there is no road to reach the site of the accident.
