Digital resurvey will be delayed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even though the inauguration of the digital resurvey was done, the proceedings will be delayed. This is because the technical equipment has not been delivered.

The notification has been done under the Survey Boundary Act and Rules 3 and 3 sections. It gives permission for the survey. The first phase of the survey will be done in 200 villages selected from all the districts. The first survey will be done in 15 villages from 14 districts. Firstly, the digital survey will be done in two villages in Thiruvananthapuram.

Machinery and equipment such as drones, Real Time Kinematic rovers, RTS, Tablet PC, etc. are been delivered to every district. The digital survey will be done in 1550 villages out of total of 1666 villages in the state. The details of the survey are been given at Village Sabhas.

The survey will be done in the presence of landowners. The date of the survey will be informed to the landowners in advance. The landowner or the person designated must be present. The landowner need not file an application for this.

The landowner will be able to see the boundaries of his land when the survey is being done. The survey uses the GPS network called Continuously Operating Reference Station with the service of Gio Internet.
