NEW DELHI: Mass layoffs are still continuing after Elon Musk took charge of Twitter. Now the global layoff at Twitter has struck the Indian staff working here. The marketing wing of Twitter in India is completely fired according to reports. Though the company has not responded to the layoff, it is believed that many more will receive termination emails in the coming days.

Elon Musk had begun his tenure as head of Twitter by firing its CEO, Indian-born, Parag Agrawal, and other senior executives. Following that, a notification was sent out that as part of raising $44 billion many employees of Twitter across the world will be laid off.

As part of executing this policy Twitter offices across the world have remained closed since Friday. Personal emails were sent to employees asking them to return home if they have started from their homes to the office. The email also said that the intimation of whether the employees will continue or not will also be sent through emails.

Experts believe that as part of the global lay off around 3.700 employees might lose their jobs in the company.
