'Prepare your coffin'; DySP investigating Sreenivasan murder case receives death threat, threat made for arresting the Popular Front workers

PALAKKAD: The DYSP investigating the Sreenivasan murder case has received a death threat from abroad. Narcotics DySP Anil Kumar received the threat call at 9:30 last night. Anil Kumar said that the anonymous caller asked him to prepare the coffin. The DySP received the threat for arresting Popular Front activists in the case.

Meanwhile, the police arrested two more people in the Sreenivasan murder case. The arrested persons are PFI area president Ansar and Ashraf. Police had arrested SDPI state committee member Ameer Ali a few days ago. The police found that Ameer Ali played a key role in the conspiracy that took place in Palakkad district hospital the day before and on the day of the murder. Sreenivasan was hacked to death at a shop at Melamuri on April 16 this year.
