Won't resign over letter row, says Mayor Arya Rajendran; opposition protests continue in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arya Rajendran, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, has clarified that she will not resign over the letter controversy. The Mayor told the media that she will remain in office as long as she has the support of the councilors and the people. She said that she did not file the complaint for namesake and would cooperate with any investigation ordered by the court. The mayor also said that she will decide on the legal aspect of filing a defamation case against the 'suit case protest' of the Mahila Congress.
