Two Keralites detained in Indonesia released

NEW DELHI: Two Keralites and one Tamil fishermen, who were detained by Indonesia, have been released. They will reach Chennai on 20th morning at 7.20. The release comes after the intervention of the Foreign Ministry and V Muraleedharan after a complaint was lodged by the families of the missing men.

A eight-member team had set off from Andaman for fishing on motor boats on 17th February. They were arrested and put in jail for crossing the sea limits on 7th March. Eight persons were released earlier. Tamil Nadu native Jesin Das died while in custody of the Indonesian police. The All India Fishermen Congress had demanded that the release of the other three persons must be made possible.
