Kanthapuram A P Muhammed Musliyar dies

KOZHIKODE: Popular Islamic scholar and Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama secretary A P Muhammed Musliyar Kanthapuram passed away. He was 72. He died at a private hospital in Kozhikode on Sunday at 6 am. The Janazah prayers will be held at 9 am at Markaz Masjid ul Hamili and at 4 pm at Karuvam Poyil Juma Masjid at 4 pm.

Muhammed Musaliyar was the first disciple of Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar. He was born in 1950 in Karuvam Poyil near Koduvally as the son of Kallachi Chekku Haji and Ayesha. After studying for a long time under Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar in Dars like Kanthapuram, Kolikkal, Mangad etc, graduated Baqavi from Baqiyat at Vellore in Tamil Nadu.

He started teaching in 1975 as the vice-principal of Azizia Arabic College, under Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar himself. He was serving as head teacher and vice principal in Markaz.
