Dr. M Rosalind George appointed as Kufos Acting VC, new appointment comes in context of cancellation of Riji John's appointment

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Governor has issued an order appointing Dr. M Rosalind George as Kufos Acting VC. The new appointment comes in the context of the cancellation of Dr. Riji John's appointment. Although Riji John had approached the Supreme Court against the High Court order canceling the appointment, the apex court did not issue a stay. The Supreme Court had ordered that the Governor can appoint an acting VC till the case is resolved. Following this, the Governor issued the order appointing Dr. Rosalind as Acting VC.

Dr. Rosalind George is Dean of Faculty and Senior Professor at the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (Kufos). The order issued by the Raj Bhavan said that Rosalind should take up the charge of VC in addition to the current duties.
