I love and respect Tharoor, envious about only one thing, media tried to portray me as a villain', says VD Satheeshan

KOCHI: Opposition leader VD Satheeshan said that the it is the media who portrayed him as a villain in the Shashi Tharoor issue. He was speaking at the Professional Congress conclave in Kochi. He rejected reports of a rift between him and Tharoor and said that he loves and respects him. He added that he is only envious of Tharoor’s knowledge.

“The media is trying to find rift between us and portrayed that I avoided Tharoor during event at Thiruvananthapuram. I greeted Tharoor when I first met him in the program. I have to act if I am supposed to repeat it again. In all stories, there has to be a villain. This time, it appears to be my fate.”, said Satheeshan.
