Youths arrested for sexually abusing woman befriended on social media 

KOZHIKODE: Two youths have been arrested for sexually abusing a woman on the pretext of marriage. The two have been identified as A K Nihad Shan (24) of Kolathara and his friend Muhammed Junaid (26) of Malappuram.

The woman sexually abused is a native of Kanyakumari. The complaint is that she was taken to various places of Kozhikode and Malappuram and sexually abused. She lodged the complaint on October 29. Nihad is the first accused in the case.

The complainant got acquainted with Nihad via social media. The two fell in love later. When she asked him to marry her, he asked her to convert to Islam. When she opposed this, the youth asked her to end their relationship.

When she was not willing for that, Nihad via his friends informed her that he lost his memory in an accident. They also told her that he is under treatment in a hospital in Perinthalmanna. The woman who reached Perinthalmanna was taken to many places and abused.
