Case registered against Sabu M Jacob under SC/ST Act on MLA PV Sreenijan's complaint

KOCHI: A case has been registered against Sabu M Jacob, president of Kizhakkambalam Twenty20, under the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The complaint was lodged by PV Sreenijan, MLA of Kunnathunad, with the Puthankurish police. The second accused is Deena Deepa, President of Aikkaranad Panchayat.

As per the complaint, the MLA who came to inaugurate the Farmers' Day celebrations organized by Aikkaranad Krishi Bhavan was publicly insulted on the stage. The MLA has come forward many times accusing the Twenty20 leadership of being discriminatory. This is the first case to be registered in the battle between the MLA and the Twenty20 president.
