Body shaming remark by Minister VN Vasavan against actor Indrans, withdraws statement following protests

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Culture Minister VN Vasavan has made a controversial remark in the assembly body shaming actor Indrans. The minister was comparing the state of Congress in the country. He said that Congress which was once as tall as Amitabh Bachchan has now become the size of Malayali actor Indrans.

Opposition leader VD Satheeshan pointed out that it is a body shaming remark and demanded to withdraw the statement. Speaker AN Shamseer informed that Minister Vasavan has submitted a letter stating that he is withdrawing the statement and requesting not to include the remark in the assembly records.
