Murder of woman in Peroorkada was planned, accused followed Sindhu on bus she boarded

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per the police, the murder of a woman in the middle of the road in Peroorkada was a planned homicide. The deceased Sindhu (50), a resident of Vazhayila, was allegedly killed by Rajesh (46), a native of Nandiyodu, The accused has been arrested by the police.

The two, who had been living together for twelve years, were separated for a month following a spat. Recently, there have been some financial disputes between the two. The accused has given a statement to the police that the reason behind the murder was on feeling that Sindhu got estranged from him. According to the police, there was also a dispute between them about Sindhu going to work. Rajesh had also threatened to commit suicide several times.

Rajesh, who was standing at Palode this morning, saw Sindhu travelling in a bus. Then he reached Nedumangadu and boarded the same bus on which she was travelling. As per the police, when Sindhu got off the bus, Rajesh chased her and hacked using a knife after reaching a less crowded place.

Sindhu was hacked on the neck and head. After the incident, Sindhu was taken to the Medical College Hospital by the locals and the police, but she died. The eyewitness says she suffered more than two wounds. Meanwhile, the locals caught Rajesh and handed him over to the police.
