MUMBAI: While the protests against Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Pathaan' is intensifying, the Mumbai police have registered a case against the film on the complaint of a Mumbai native. The case was registered on the complaint lodged by a man named Sanjay Tiwari. In the complaint, Sanjay Tiwari alleged that the song 'Besharam Rang' in the film is hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.
Meanwhile, a lawyer has filed a petition in the Muzaffarpur CJM court in Bihar seeking an FIR against Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone for hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindus. The petition has been filed by a lawyer named Sudhir Ojha. The case will be heard on January 3.
The controversy broke out over the dress worn by Deepika Padukone in the song 'Besharam Rang' from the film. Many people expressed their displeasure, claiming that the song was offensive and hurtful to the Hindu community.
