KASARGOD: Rajmohan Unnithan MP has sparked a controversy with his recent remarks against Advocate CK Sreedharan, who had taken up counsel for the defense in the Periya double murder case. Speaking at a press conference, Rajmohan Unnithan had said that Kerala was lucky that CK Sreedharan was not born as a woman.
"While the High Court was hearing the appeal of the accused in the TP Chandrasekaran murder case, Sreedharan, the special public prosecutor, did not appear in the court on the day when important witnesses were examined. He used to send his juniors. We saw him disappearing from the trial courts on the days when the Marxist leader Monahan and the witnesses against him were to be examined. He has illicit relations with the Marxist party and RSS for money. His body is in Congress and his mind is in BJP and the Marxist party. It can only be said that the people of Kanhangad and Kerala are lucky that Sreedharan was not born as a woman," Unnithan said during the press conference.
