'RRR' creates history; song from the movie makes it to 95th Oscars shortlist

HYDERABAD: The Telugu blockbuster 'RRR' has been shortlisted for the 95th Academy Awards. The song 'Naatu Naatu' has been shortlisted for the 2023 Oscars in the 'Best Original Song' category.

Actor Ram Charan took to Twitter to express his happiness at this proud achievement. 'What a historic moment for the entire Indian Film Industry… Couldn’t be more honoured to note that #NaatuNaatu becomes the first Indian song to be shortlisted for the Academy Awards! SS Rajamouli garu and MM Keeravaani garu, it’s all your vision and magic..#RRRForOscars,' he wrote.

The film is also competing in the Best Picture and Best Director categories. However, the final list for these categories has not been released. It will be a historic moment if 'RRR' makes it to any of these lists.
