Massive robbery in broad daylight in Thrissur; 80 sovereigns of gold stolen from house

THRISSUR: Massive robbery in broad daylight in Kunnumkulam. The theft happened in Rajan’s house Prasanthi in Shastriji Nagar. As per the complaint, more than 80 sovereigns of gold have been stolen. Rajan’s wife Devi had gone out to attend a marriage after locking the house. When she returned by 3 pm, she found that clothes and other items in the wardrobe has been ransacked. Then in the inspection, it was identified that the gold has been stolen. Kunnamkulam police have started investigation in the case.

The police said that the thief entered the house by breaking into the door at the top floor. The houseowner Devi is an administrative officer in LIC and husband Rajan is working in Ethiopia.
