Mini bus carrying Sabarimala devotees falls on top of house, 16 sustain injuries, one critical

IDUKKI: 16 people sustained injuries when the mini bus in which they were travelling fell on top of a house. The incident happened on Kattappana-Parakadavu bypass road. The condition of one of the injured is serious.

The mini bus carrying devotees from Tamil Nadu met with the accident Tuesday morning at 3.45 am. The driver lost control of the vehicle in a slope and then the bus fell on top of the car porch. The house belongs to Shafeeq of Kappad. They knew about the accident when they came out of the house hearing a loud noise. The police and the fire force were informed soon. There are children among the injured. A vehicle carrying Sabarimala pilgrims had overturned and fell on top of the same house in 2016.
