THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The revised electoral roll of the state has been published. There are 2,67,95,581 voters in the state. There are 1,38,26,149 female voters and 1,29,69,158 male voters. 5,65,334 persons, including dead (3,60,161) and those who relocated (1,97,497), were excluded from the voter list.
The final voters' list with an eligibility date of January 1, 2023, was published on Friday. As per the draft voter list published on November 9, there were 2,71,62,290 voters in the state. For the purpose of updating the voter list, the booth-level officers had visited the homes and gathered data, including the deaths.
The list is available on the website of the State Chief Electoral Officer http://www.ceo.kerala.gov.in/. The list will be available at taluk offices, village offices and booth-level officers for scrutiny.
14,682 people who are 17 years old have applied for inclusion in the list. They will be added to the list as they turn 18 years old on qualifying dates of 1st April, 1st July and 1st October. Identity cards will be issued to them after that.
