10 months of planning; Greeshma managed to murder Sharon in her third attempt

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: According to the charge sheet prepared by the District Crime Branch, Kaliyakkavilai Ramavarmanchira native Greeshma killed her lover Sharon after ten months of planning. Greeshma killed Sharon by mixing pesticide in ayurvedic medicine. The charge sheet also stated that Greeshma managed to kill Sharon in her third attempt.

The district crime branch will soon file the charge sheet in the Neyyattinkara court in the Sharon murder case. According to the probe team, Greeshma committed the crime after Sharon, a native of Parassala, refused to withdraw from the relationship.

Greeshma, who is a second-year MA student at Neyyoor Christian College, Tamil Nadu, is the first accused in the case. The second and third accused are Greeshma's mother Sindhu and uncle Nirmalkumar. The crime branch's aim is to file the charge sheet and start the trial before the completion of 90 days after Greeshma's arrest.

Greeshma started attempting to kill Sharon as he refused to withdraw from their relationship even after her marriage was fixed with a soldier from Nagercoil. She made the first murder attempt in the washroom of the hospital adjacent to the college. She had crushed 50 dolo pills and mixed them with mango juice before giving the juice to Sharon. However, he spat the juice due to bitterness. On another day, she gave him juice mixed with pills in the name of a juice challenge at the Kuzhithura old bridge. As both these attempts failed, she gave him the ayurvedic medicine laced with pesticide.

The probe team has included crucial evidence, including the nearly 1000 Google searches made by Greeshma to determine the method of murder in the charge sheet. An attempt is being made to scientifically prove the case by collecting the sound test report conducted at Akashvani.

On October 14 last year, Greeshma invited Sharon to her home on the pretext of returning the record book and gave him the ayurvedic medicine laced with poison. Sharon, who fell ill, underwent treatment at Govt Hospital, Parassala and Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for several days. He died on October 25. WhatsApp chats and phone conversations between Greeshma and Sharon, and the revelation made by Sharon's friend Rejin's that Sharon came out of Greeshma's house after experiencing vomiting will be crucial in the case.
