KASARGOD: The police said the death of college student Anjusree (19) is a suicide. The sample of the internal organs was sent to the Kozhikode Regional Chemical Lab for testing following the suspicion of traces of rat poison in her body. The police said the exact cause of death will be known once the report is received.
The Melparamba police produced the suicide note, suspected to have been written by Anjusree, at the Kasaragod Sub-Divisional Magistrate's Court. The note said that she is bidding goodbye to everyone because she is unable to hold on due to mental stress.
Police said that when her mobile phone was checked with the help of cyber cell, it was found that she had searched for rat poison on Google. However, no information is available from where it was purchased. Its packet has not been recovered from the house. Meantime, the family members demanded that all aspects of her death be investigated and the mystery removed.
Anjusree's friend, a native of Chattanchal and a bakery employee, died one and a half months ago due to illness. It is hinted that she was in love with him for two years. Anjusree died on the 41st day after the death of the youth. The police are investigating whether she committed suicide due to depression following his death. Anjusree had gone to see him when he was undergoing treatment in Mangalore. The police have got some clues after checking her phone. The police released the hotel owner and the staff taken into custody following the allegation that she died of food poisoning.
