TRIVANDRUM: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan finally broke the silence on the pertinent issue that Trivandrum is currently gripped in. The CM called for a high-level meeting and asked to break the nexus between gang criminals and drug peddlers in the city. ADGP R Ajithkumar, intelligence head TK Vinodkumar, and Trivandrum city police commissioner C Nagaraju joined the chief minister for the high-level meeting. The chief minister also pressed the officials to debunk and adopt punitive actions against any police officer found collaborating with these criminals.

From a report, it was found out that six police officers including an ADGP and an SI are in good goings with many notorious criminals in the city. An investigation against such tainted names has started within the forces and a report will be submitted soon.
