No need to stand in queue anymore; DigiYatra becomes hit in the capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The DigiYatra system, which eliminates long queues for security checks at airports, is a super hit at the domestic airport. 20 percent of passengers have started using DigiYatra. Two DigiYatra systems have been set up at the terminal entrance, security area, and boarding area. Those who have registered on the DigiYatra app can skip the checks by showing their face to the camera and go without standing in queues.

Adani Group has also appointed 10 Digi-Buddies to help those who have not registered on DigiYatra.

More convenience

The advantage of DigiYatra is that the procedures can be completed conveniently and quickly. Delays in checking documents can be avoided. Travel will be more effortless. Passengers will not have to print boarding passes and identity documents and carry them in their hands. The DigiYatra app will track passengers using PNR. The identity of passengers will be verified through biometric data.

• Biometric-based digital processing can be used to enter airports. Passengers are identified through a facial recognition system.
• Passengers can enter the airport through the e-gate after confirming their identity in the e-gate camera with facial recognition system.
• After entering the terminal, they can deposit their luggage at the check-in desk. After facial verification at the DigiYatra gate again, they can go for security check.

To ensure travel using DigiYatra:

1) Install the 'DigiYatra' app on your mobile phone.

2) You can create a DigiYatra ID by entering your name, email, mobile number and identity document.

3) The DigiYatra ID number can be used to book tickets. The information of the passengers will be shared with the airlines.

4) On your first trip, you will need to go to the registration kiosk. Later, the information will be added to your DigiYatra profile.
