Photos of even five-year-old girl, secret sale through Telegram group; Youngster arrested from Malappuram

PARAPPANANGADI: A Youngster was arrested for morphing photos of women from social media and putting them for sale on online groups. The Parappanangadi police arrested Nithin Mohandas (25) of Narayani House, Vallikunnu, Ariyalloor.

The arrest was made on the complaint of a young woman from Ramanattukara. The morphed pictures were sold through Telegram groups. Around a thousand pictures of girls are circulating in such groups. Screenshots from the accused's phone showed messages demanding money. Another mobile phone was also seized during a search of the accused's house.

There are similar complaints against the accused at the Mahe and Tanur police stations. The incident came to light after a young man who saw his friend's picture circulating in a Telegram group passed on the information. It is reported that Nithin morphed pictures of even a five-year-old child with the intention to sell to customers.
