There are many speculations for not opening the B vault of Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple. The propaganda is strong that the vault contains a treasure trove of precious gems to the fact that it is guarded by fierce snakes. Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bhai, a member of the royal family, is clarifying the truth behind this.
‘To my knowledge, the vault that everyone calls the B vault has not been opened yet. I have heard that there is a long corridor room with iron railings in front of it. That room has been opened many times. The door of the B vault is on one side of it. As is being propagated, that door is not large or in the shape of snakes.
In 2011, when Ashtamangala Prashnam was performed in Krishna Vilasam Palace, the devas strongly said that B vault should not be opened. It is a place where sages and gods meditate on Sree Padmanabha. It is said that the power flow of the Sri Chakra, which is installed underground, is attached to the original image, and if it is damaged, it cannot be restored. There are no practitioners today who have the ability, capability, or knowledge to do so. There is another belief that Yakshiamma is doing penance there. The strongest one is the presence of Narasimha Swamy in the south. It is said that B vault should not be opened for various reasons.’
