After Smriti Mandhana’s father hospitalized, fiancé admitted to hospital

MUMBAI: The marriage of Smriti Mandhana, Indian cricket star, had to be postponed after her father Srinivas Mandhana suffered a heart attack. Her manager later informed that her marriage has been postponed. Now her fiancé and music director Palash Muchhal has also been hospitalized.

Palash was admitted at the hospital due to a viral infection and increased acidity. He was discharged shortly after treatment and has returned to the hotel.

The wedding celebrations were going on for two days at Smriti’s farmhouse at Sangli in Maharashtra. Srinivas felt unwell during breakfast on the scheduled wedding day. An ambulance immediately arrived at the wedding venue and shifted Srinivas to the hospital. Smriti refused to go ahead with the ceremony in her father's absence and so the marriage has been postponed.

Srinivas's health is said to be satisfactory at present. The doctors informed that he is under observation. His blood pressure is also high. If this continues, they will consider doing an angiogram, the doctors said. The wedding celebrations, including haldi, were completed the other day. Friends from the Indian cricket team have also come to Sangli to participate in the celebrations.
