NEDUMANGAD: Rajan, the father of dental student Nithin Raj, has made a fresh revelation in the loan app controversy linked to his son’s death. He said the Chakkarakkal Circle Inspector informed him over the phone that the nominees listed in the loan app used by Nithin were his mother Latha and himself.

Rajan alleged that new doubts and contradictions are coming up in the case. Earlier, there were complaints that Latha had received threatening messages from the loan app. Police have now clarified that the nominee mentioned in the app is not a teacher named Latha, but Nithin’s mother.

The family has raised questions over how teachers received messages from the loan app if the nominees were the parents. They say it is unclear how threats could have been sent to teachers from an app where the nominees are the parents.

The family suspects that this could be an attempt by the police to protect the teachers by shifting the blame entirely onto the loan app. They have demanded a scientific investigation to find the source of the messages received by the teachers.
