Wild elephant dies in Sholayur, body found near electric fence on roadside

ATTAPPADY: A wild elephant was found lying dead in the forest area of Sholayur. The body of the six-year-old elephant was found next to the electric fence on the Vechapathi road in Sholayur Varakam Padi. The preliminary conclusion is that the elephant was electrocuted. This can be confirmed only after getting the post-mortem report.

The place where the elephant's body was found is just five kilometers away from the Sholayur police station. The officials of the forest department are examining the place.
