Twenty-one people have been killed in a shooting at Texas Elementary School today morning. Most of them were children between the ages of seven and ten. The assailant, Salvador Romos, was shot dead by police on the spot.

Ramos lives 135 kilometres west of San Antonio. He had been working for a year at a restaurant in Wendy's fast food chain. He quit his job a month ago. Ramos was a man who liked to be alone at work.

He does not interact with his colleagues and had left the place a month ago. Even Ramos' colleagues did not know who he was. He had a habit of not interacting too much with anyone. One of his colleagues says Ramos, who always wore a boxing glove, often got into fights with many people.

Ramos regularly chatted with a girl via Instagram. But the girl says she was constantly chatting because she was afraid of him. He last chatted with the girl before the attack. She shared all these chats on social media after the attack. 'Ima air out' was the last message Ramos sent to the girl.

Ramos is believed to have abandoned his car outside the school and entered the school grounds with a handgun and possibly a rifle. Police said the killer was wearing body armour. The 18-year-old had two rifles in his hand. Ramos has previously shared a picture of himself on Instagram with rifles used in the attack .
