HYDERABAD: Reports suggest that a flight from Germany to Hyderabad has been diverted. The Lufthansa flight LH752, which took off from Frankfurt Airport in Germany at 2.14 pm local time on Sunday, was scheduled to land at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad early Monday morning.
However, reports are coming out that the plane was diverted due to a bomb threat. It is reported that the plane was diverted after receiving a bomb threat two hours after taking off from the airport. However, Lufthansa officials say that the plane was not allowed to land in India and that is why it was diverted back to its source, Frankfurt, Europe's sixth- busiest and Germany's busiest international airport. "We landed in Frankfurt. The authorities have only told us that the plane has not been allowed to land in Hyderabad," the woman, who was on her way to visit her mother in Hyderabad, said.
"It was a smooth flight. After about two hours the authorities told us that they were returning to Frankfurt soon. They arranged accommodation for us at the airport. They told us that we would be leaving on the same flight at 10 am on Monday. That's all we know. For more information, please contact the police or the airline," a passenger explained. However, the Hyderabad airport authorities have not commented on the incident.
