Akhil Marar offers 'big prize' for those who correctly predict his vote count; trolls flood comments

KOCHI: The Facebook post of NDA candidate Akhil Marar, who is contesting from the Thrikkakara constituency in the Assembly elections, has been flooded with troll comments. The reactions came under his post offering a “big reward” to those who could correctly predict the number of votes he would receive. Many users mocked the post. One comment said it was impossible to predict the vote count and claimed he would “fail badly.” Within hours, nearly 8,000 comments were posted under the update.

Another user wrote, 'You claimed that mothers in Kerala would vote for you. How could you say something like that without any shame? If there is justice, you will face a big defeat.'

Akhil Marar has recently been involved in several controversies due to his public statements, which have led to heavy trolling on social media. Several comments under the post also criticised his attitude and campaign style.

Some users wrote, 'We are eager to know how many foolish people are in Thrikkakara on May 4,' while another said, 'Winning and losing are part of elections. But if you lose, you will be one of the most trolled people. The main reason is not your party, but your attitude. During the campaign, especially on social media, your responses did not reflect the maturity expected from a public representative.'
