Just days after returning from Kerala, Malayali teen drowns in Wadi Shab in Muscat

MUSCAT: A Malayali youth drowned while bathing in a wadi in Muscat. The victim was identified as Abdullah Ashiq (22), a native of Maniyampara, Kasaragod. Ashiq drowned while bathing in the Wadi Shab on the Muscat-Sur road.

Abdullah Ashiq, who previously worked in the UAE, recently arrived in Muscat from Kerala. He was a salesman at an Abaya sales firm in Ruwi. His father is Shahul Hameed, and his mother is Subaida. Abdullah Ashiq was unmarried. The body has been kept in the hospital morgue. Authorities said that further procedures are being completed.
