UAE offers new job opportunities with good salary, Etihad Company begins recruitment

DUBAI: The UAE have come with a new job opportunity for those wishing to work abroad. The recruitment of pilots to operate air taxis in the UAE next year, has started. This is proof that air taxis will start operating in the country soon.

The recruitment and training are jointly conducted by US-based Archer Aviation Company and Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Aviation Training (EAT). EAT offers training courses for airport ground handling, pilot and cabin crew. Those completing training will get job in Etihad Airways, Wizz Air, AirArabia, Flydubai, Oman Air and other companies.

Archer Aviation has received billions of dollars in investment from Abu Dhabi. The investment will be used to build vertiports at key locations across Abu Dhabi and start air taxi operations next year.

The air taxi takes 10-20 minutes to reach the destination instead of 60-90 minutes by car. Five people including the pilot can travel in this small plane. It also has a luggage storage facility for passengers.

CEO of Etihad training Capt Paolo La Cava said it will provide pilots with the training they need to fly with dozens of global airlines. He also stated that in 2025, electric air taxi pilots will be trained to fly Archer's Midnight flights in Abu Dhabi.

What is Flying Taxi/Air Taxi?
Small planes that carry passengers are called air taxi or flying taxi. The flying taxis, called E-VTOL (Electrical Vertical Take-off and Landing), will have five seats. It will have all the facilities of a taxi, but the only difference is flying and travelling.

It takes hours to travel by road to reach this place but once the air taxi arrives will reach in minutes. Recently, there was a report that Air Taxi is coming to India in 2026.
