Iran's 'Fattah' attack on Israel; was it successful?

TEL AVIV: How successful was Iran's air strike against Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh? Let's examine…

1. The first report suggested Iran fired over 400 missiles at Israel. But Iran confirmed that it had launched just 200 missiles, while Israel said it was just 180 missiles. In the wake of the missiles, sirens blared across Israel. Most of the missiles were shot down by Israel or its allies stationed in the region (US, UK).

2. Iran released footage of missiles being fired at Israel. Iran said it hit military bases, including three around Tel Aviv, and hit 90 per cent of its targets. However, Israel claimed that only 20 missiles landed while the rest were destroyed.

3. Iran claims that the missile hit the headquarters of Mossad, Israel's spy agency. A photo of a giant crater near Mossad headquarters where a missile is believed to have landed has surfaced.

4. Iran said it used a hypersonic missile, the Fattah, at Israel, while the Zionist nation claimed this as a lie. Air Force bases were partly damaged. It is said that only two people were injured in the airstrike.

5. Iran said Israel would be crushed if the Zionist nation intended to take revenge. Israel meanwhile has already given signs of an upcoming retaliation.
