KHARTOUM: A drone attack on a nursery and a hospital in the North African country of Sudan, where civil war is aggravating, killed 50 people, including 33 children. Various international organisations said the incident took place in the town of Kalogi in the South Kordofan region on Thursday.

The paramilitary RSF (Rapid Support Force) took responsibility for the attack. Organisations, including UNICEF, condemned the incident. The RSF continues to create mayhem and bloodshed in their battle against the official army to seize power. More than 1,50,000 people have been killed so far since 2023. Many areas are isolated from the outside world due to the collapse of communication systems.
