OTTAWA: An Indian student has been found dead in Canada under mysterious circumstances. She has been identified as Tanya Tyagi of Delhi and a student of University of Calgary in Canada. The Consulate General of India in Vancouver informed the death of the woman. Although it was known that the dead was Tanya Tyagi, the authorities had informed that no further information was available.
The Consulate General of India said through X that they are trying to get more information from the relevant officials in Canada and will offer all necessary assistance to the student's family. The Consulate General of India said in a statement that it expresses its condolences and prayers to the family and friends of the woman. The cause of Tanya Tyagi's death has not been revealed by the authorities yet. Unconfirmed reports said the woman died of heart attack.
This is not the first case of Indian citizens dying under mysterious circumstances in Canada. An Indian student had died on April 19. The victim was 22-year-old Harsimrat Randhawa. An unknown group who arrived in a car opened fire on her while she was waiting for the bus. Although she was immediately taken to the hospital, Hamilton police said that her life could not be saved.
On April 11, a Malayali youth was found dead inside a car in Canada. He has been identified as Finto Antony (39 of Neeleeswaram, Malayattur. His vehicle, which was equipped with a GPS system, was missing. Finto Antony had been working in Canada for 12 years. The Canadian police reported that Finto Antony was missing. The body was found after a days-long investigation.
