US launches another major airstrike on Iran, claims missile stockpile destroyed

WASHINGTON: The United States has carried out another strong airstrike against Iran. The U.S. claimed that Iran’s ballistic missile stockpile was completely destroyed in the attack. Visuals of the strike were released by United States Central Command.

U.S. President Donald Trump said that nine Iranian military ships were destroyed. The attack was carried out using advanced fighter jets, including the highly lethal Northrop B-2 Spirit bombers.

American defence sources said the strikes have weakened Iran’s ability to launch counterattacks and warned that more attacks could take place in the coming hours.

At the same time, Trump also indicated that there may be an end to war fears in the region. He said Iran has expressed readiness to restart talks to resolve the West Asian crisis. According to Trump, this message came during a conversation with the Foreign Minister of Oman. The U.S. President added that the main goal is to bring peace to the region.
