NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has warned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He warned Mamata after the Delhi assembly election results were out. The BJP is coming back to power in Delhi after a long 27 years.

We won in Delhi. Our next target is Bengal, he said while talking to the media. 'I have gone for campaigning to many places in Delhi where there is a large Bengali population. The BJP won in all those places. The infrastructure there is in a bad condition. Aam Aadmi Party has destroyed Delhi. That is why the BJP saw a possibility of success in such areas of Delhi,' he said.

Meantime, Bengal BJP president and MP Sukanta Majumdar also gave a similar warning. He added that the BJP will win in Bengal in the next elections. The elections in West Bengal are going to be held in March-April next year. Sukanta Majumdar said that the BJP has been trying to uproot the Mamata-led Trinamool Congress for a long time.

The BJP won 48 of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi. In 2020, the BJP got only eight seats. The BJP crushed AAP, who had won 62 seats then, to 22 seats now. Meantime, the Congress, which once ruled the capital, yet again failed to open its account. After the victory, the BJP has also intensified its efforts to form a cabinet. Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who defeated Kejriwal, is likely to be made the Chief Minister. Kapil Mishra, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Satish Upadhyaya are also being considered.
