Now, Abhishek Bachchan has responded publicly to such gossip. In an interview with the Indian Times, the actor opened up about how these rumours have affected him.

“In the past, I wasn’t bothered by what was being said about me. But now, I have a family. These kinds of gossip stories cause a lot of discomfort. Even if I clarify the truth, people will twist it. That’s because negative news sells more. I’m not like you. You can’t run my life. You can sit behind a screen and say anything on social media without showing your face.”

“When you sit behind a computer screen and say something negative about someone, remember—your words have an impact. How would you feel if someone said the same about you? I challenge you to say such gossip to my face. The people who post such things online would never have the courage to say it directly to me. But if someone does show that courage, I will respect them for it,” Abhishek Bachchan added.
