'Famous actor now, busy with new generation movies'; actor Tony Antony about how he got duped

Tony Antony was ubiquitous all over Malayalam tele serials and films during the early 2000 era. Despite having the knack to make it big in the industry, Tony stumbled in his pursuit somewhere. Chances started dwindling, and soon he found comfort with being a seasonal actor.

Now, while talking with an online portal, Tony revealed how he was cheated by a prominent producer in the industry, back in the days.

Tony Antony:

"During those times, there were no organisations as today. We would put our trust in the producers and then act. After completing our work, some producers would shrewdly not respond to our phone calls. One producer gave me a cheque that bounced. I still have it with me.

The then producer is now an actor and is very famous. He frequently appears in new generation movies.

The film was directed by Jose Thomas, and it was a moderate hit. Not just me, the producer duped many other actors who worked in the film. Today. These won’t work as the organisations would hold them accountable.

I still have a good connection with film actors of the new generation. However, I would not go after them, requesting a role. The director and the writer should decide if there is any scope for me to perform.”
