'Husband left me after sex tape incident'; actress Ranjitha responds

Kannada-born actress Ranjitha is a familiar face in the Malayalam industry. Her popularity surged twofold in 2010 when a private video emerged showing the actress in bed with self-styled godman Nithyananda.

The actress lambasted the media and claimed it was not her in the video. She even moved Karnataka High Court against the channel that released the footage. But in the end, the scientific evidence turned against her and confirmed her presence in the video.

The actress later embraced an ascetic lifestyle and started living with godman Nithayananda. Not just that, She is currently holding the title of Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Hindu state of Kailaasa.

Ranjitha's old interview:

“Claiming it as a sex tape, the media played with my dignity. A private video was shared across Television screens much to the nasty pleasures of some people. I'm an ordinary housewife and don’t mistake me for any rich woman. my family don’t have a business lineage.

The incident back in 2010 took a toll on me. I even considered suicide but walked away from the decision only for my family. The elders in my family had no one to depend on but me.

The bruise inflicted by the incident will not heal anytime soon. My husband left me after the video turned public. I was attached to god and spirituality from my younger days and it helped me during my difficult days.”

Earlier, Ranjitha had revealed that she would continue her life alongside Nithayananda in Kailaasa.
