The incident of a journalist's microphone striking Mohanlal in the eye was a big topic of discussion on social media. There was also harsh criticism against the journalist. It was also news that Mohanlal called the journalist and consoled him. Many people came forward to praise Mohanlal for his kindness in comforting the journalist despite being hurt.

Years ago, Mohanlal had behaved in a similar manner in a similar situation. Actor Nandu revealed this in an interview given to a media outlet. The incident took place on the sets of the film 'Aye Auto'.

'It was a scene at Tali Mahakshetram. The scene where Lalettan and Rekha are performing a pradakshina inside the temple. When that scene was over, Lalettan and Rekha had to be put in a car and sent to the hotel. It was such a big crowd. There were some troublemakers there. One of them was very hyper.

Before Lalettan could get into the car, the same guy grabbed Lalettan's stomach and squeezed him. Lalettan's shirt was torn. The people on the set somehow got Lalettan into the car. He again created a scene, demanding that he meet Lalettan. The quarter glass of the ambassador car was broken with a stone. He had a blade in his hand. He used it to cut the driver's hand. Somehow the car left the location. The production manager was watching everything.

There was a van that brings food. The production manager told to pull the van back. When the van approached the guy who caused trouble, the production manager told to grab him. The people in the production grabbed him and put him in the van. They all beat him up and his shirt was torn. Then they took him to the hotel where Lalettan was staying. When Lalettan saw him he asked, "Entha Mone, why did you do this?" Lalettan went straight inside, opened the cupboard, took out a nice shirt and gave it to him. He was very happy,' said Nandu.
