MUMBAI: Just 24 hours after being announced dead, Poonam Pandey appeared on social media and revealed the egregious publicity stunt she planned to dupe millions in India.
“I am alive” were her first words in the video which she currently posted on Instagram. The whole gimmick of death was nothing but an attempt from Pandey to bring awareness to the treatment of cervical cancer.
“Unlike other cancers, cervical cancer is preventable with early detection tests and with proper intake of HPV vaccines. I am not a victim of cervical cancer, but many women in the country are falling to death due to the lack of knowledge regarding the disease.
Meanwhile, netizens are irked by the cheap publicity stunt put on play by Poonam Pandey. Many comments have filled the space rebuking the actress for her toxic stunt seeking attention.
“Arrest her immediately for this drama, you just destroyed your credibility”, this was one among the thousand comments that are now filling her Instagram space.
Earlier, there were rumours about the authenticity of her death after her relatives never cared to respond to the media regarding the news.
