RAYAGADA: A fire broke out in a movie theatre during the screening of superstar Prabhas' latest film 'The Raja Saab'. The incident took place at Ashok Talkies in Odisha's Rayagada district. The accident was caused by fans bursting crackers and performing aarti inside the theatre during Prabhas' intro scene.

A group of fans near the screen started celebrating when Prabhas' intro scene in the movie came on. During the celebration, they burst crackers and performed aarti, causing a fire to break out near the screen. The audience in the hall scattered in panic due to the sudden fire. It is reported that no one was injured in the accident. The show was stopped immediately after the fire broke out and the audience was safely taken out of the theatre. There was no significant damage to the theatre building.

'The Raja Saab', written and directed by Maruthi, hit the theatres on January 9. The film, which stars Prabhas along with a huge star cast including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agarwal, Ridhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Boman Irani, was released in five languages ​​, including Malayalam. The film's plot revolves around the emotional journey of a grandson to fulfil the wish of his grandmother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's. The incident occurred while the horror-comedy film is having a successful run with good responses.
