‘Expect no leniency from Prithviraj’; Suffered a lot for ‘Empuraan’, says Mohanlal

‘L2: Empuraan’ is a Malayalam film much awaited by the fans of the film industry. The film is a sequel of Mohanlal starrer Lucifer, directorial debut of Prithviraj. The teaser of the film was released yesterday. Some things Mohanlal said about director Prithviraj are going viral on social media. Mohanlal said one should not expect any leniency from Prithviraj, the director.

'I have worked with many directors. Films are changing. It is remarkable that he is able to move with that change in cinema. Prithviraj is a cruel director. He will squeeze us to take what he expects from us. A director has a major role in polishing the actors and only then they become good. I trust my director. As an actor, I have great expectation in Prithviraj, the director. It is because he was able to do such films.

Dedication is a great thing. We suffered a lot during the shoot of Empuraan. Prithviraj gave his 100%. Empuraan is a little below God. I don't know what name to give for part three. Whenever we start a film, we expect it to be a big hit. We are moving forward with that expectation,' said Mohanlal. Empuraan will release on March 7.

The teaser of Empuraan was released yesterday as part of the 25th anniversary of Aashirvad Cinemas. Empuraan is being produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions, a leading Tamil banner. Apart from Malayalam, the film will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
